Sanjay Bansal is the Chairman & Managing Director of Business Octane - the world’s only ultra-super specialist in Ultra-Immersive Video Collaboration and Collaborative Learning. With more than 25 years in the video collaboration industry, he holds 3 US patents and has pioneered solutions that have transformed how enterprises and institutions collaborate across geographies.

A mechanical engineer and postgraduate from IIM Lucknow, Sanjay brings together engineering, entrepreneurship, customer insight and an instinct for innovation. He holds three U.S. patents for innovations in video collaboration and has pioneered solutions designed to bridge the gap between a conventional video call and the experience of being physically present in the same room.

He built the company on a simple conviction: that the gap between a video call and a real conversation was an engineering problem, not a fact of life — and that closing it required inventing the category from the ground up rather than assembling it from off-the-shelf parts.

Over the years, he has worked closely with enterprises and institutions to understand how collaboration actually happens — in boardrooms, classrooms, training environments and distributed workplaces — and has translated those insights into purpose-built solutions. His approach combines the perspectives of a customer, entrepreneur and inventor, with a strong focus on delivering measurable value from technology investments. He also takes an active role in product innovation, customer engagement and developing the Business Octane team.

Beyond Business Octane, Sanjay is a family man who is happily married to Shweta Singh. They have a 15-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son.
